The previous road crossing designs, providing wooden rail ties and small rock material, proved to be inappropriate. However, the solution including prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs is a much more suitable solution providing longer periods of use and reducing the costs of assembly, disassembly and maintenance of road crossings. The designed solution includes two types of slab (lateral slabs and slabs in pavement) suitable for handling. The slabs are reinforced with smooth reinforcement bars of small profiles with anchors inserted into the top section of slabs as not to disturb the passage of vehicles. At the top edges of slabs, parallel to the pavement centerline, the hardware is placed to protect the slab edges from impact by vehicle’s tires and provide an elastic crossing from slab to the track and vice versa.
